Update: Rowers Ride Wave to Victory
In October 2021 we reported on Marc Oria’s dual role as a faculty neuroscientist in Fetal Care and head coach for the Great Miami Rowing Center in Hamilton.
Marc recently let us know that the US competed in the World Rowing Beach Sprints Championship in Wales, UK, this past November and came home with five medals (one gold, one silver and three bronze).
Of note is that the gold medal went to one of Marc’s single scullers, Christopher Bak.
Other locals also represented our area proudly. Gary Rought and Malachi Anderson, from Hamilton and Mason, won the silver medal in the junior double scull, and Annalie Duncomb, from Mason, won bronze in the junior women’s double scull.
