Someone once said, "People with great passion can make the impossible happen." There's probably no better place to find proof of that than at Cincinnati Children's.
In this issue, you'll read about the Partial Hospitalization Program that helps kids cope with behavioral health issues and stresses at school and at home. You'll hear from the patients themselves about the difference our dedicated staff have made by teaching them new skills and giving them different perspectives on who they are and what is happening in their lives.
Then there's Stacey Adidou, who faced a devastating loss in early childhood and poured her passion into music and dancing. She shares how the arts sustain her still and have become a legacy that she's passed down to her children and grandchildren.
We also pulled a story from the archives about Alvin Crawford, MD, retired director of Orthopaedic Surgery, and his drive to save an injured Marine's leg during the Vietnam War.
These are just a few of thousands of stories we could tell of the tremendous passion our people have for helping children in our community and around the world live better, healthier lives.
