A Message from Michael
Dear Cincinnati Children’s Team: On November 6, we will officially open the new Critical Care Building (CCB) at Cincinnati Children’s. This facility is the result of six years of creative thinking, attention to detail, hard work and collaboration by our patients, families, employees, community and a range of design and construction partners.
The building itself is magnificent—with cutting-edge technology and thoughtfully designed spaces to reimagine care delivery and to help patients, family and staff rest and recharge in a high-stress environment. It is a physical testament to Cincinnati Children’s 138-year history of innovation and relentless commitment to improve the health of children here and around the world. I want to thank Dr. Steve Davis and the entire CCB planning team, who devoted thousands and thousands of hours to make this dream a reality. Their collective leadership, resourcefulness and dedication have been unparalleled throughout the process. I also want to thank our board of trustees for their ongoing love and stewardship of Cincinnati Children’s and for their courage and conviction to make this transformative investment. In my 12 years as your CEO, I have had many reasons to be proud of what we have accomplished together. Of all these, the Critical Care Building stands as a stunning achievement full of promise and hope for a better future. We are Pursuing Our Potential Together so all kids can pursue theirs. With enduring gratitude,
Michael Fisher President and CEO
